I've Joined the Elite Crowd

Alright, I'll admit it - I've joined the Elite crowd. I did it over the weekend and I have to say, it's been a blast. Big Smile

Even the kids are having fun with the new console.  I just wish I could find some games better suited to their age.  No, they're not playing Gears of War or anything like that.  I picked up Cars for them, but it's still a little more than they can handle.  Sad

Nice! But I won't be standing in line for it or anything.  I'm past my "camping out in line for stuff" days. Wink

If they're not scared by a video game, Grabbed By The Ghoulies is a good kids game. However it does have some parts that might scare a 5 year old.

We just head to our local Gamestop/EBGames and have the kids rummage through the discount bins for games (usually buy2 get 1 free deals where 3 cost less than 1 used DS game). Most are Xbox compatabile games like MrGTI recommended Grabbed by Ghoulies, Incredibles, Simpsons titles (Road Rage, etc), Fusion Frenzy. Most games have BC in the price tag indicating backwards compatablity with the 360. If I am not sure I just check the xbox compatabilty list on my Windows Mobile device! :)

www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm

Games on the 360 my kids like are actually the Xbox Live Arcade game classics - Pacman, Frogger, Robotron, joust, Cloning Clyde, Zuma, etc.

Title games they like Fusion Frenzy 2, Viva Pinata, and LegoStarWars II.

I've been looking at the Xbox Arcade games and there's lots of choice there.  The kids like the pinball and I think I could get them hook on Frogger. Outside of the arcade, I have Fusion Frenzy 1.  I could pull that out and see if it's something they can handle.  There's more choice here than I thought. Smile

I buy most of my games from the used section at BlockBuster. They're usually $20 cheaper than brand new.
