When I first got y 360 and hooked it up, the network jack on the wall behind the TV wasn't cully punched down so I didn't have the means to connect it to Live from the get go. I just hooked it up to my TV and started playing. I created a local Gamer Profile and began to play my games.
Once everything was ready to get online, I realized that my local Gamer Profile was no good. The process of creating an online gamer tag also makes you create a new local profile. At least, at the time I was unaware that you could edit your existing gamer profile and connect it to a Live account. Oh well.
So, now I had 2 profiles on my console. I figured it should be no problem to remove the old profile, right? Wrong! Ok, it's possible, and when you know how and where to look, it's not that hard. But knowing isn't the easiest thing. I finally figured it out and thought I should share this with the rest of the world. Just in case someone else feels the desire to remove a profile.
Here's the steps; Select the System tab from the Dashboard and then select the memory option. Highlight your hard disk - for most, this will already be highlighted - and select it. Then you'll want to scroll down to Gamer Profiles and select it. You'll then be presented with a list of profiles on your console. Select the offending profile and delete it. Rinse and repeat as required.
Now that I have that fixed, I just need to figure out how to correct my billing information so that it doesn't think I'm living in the US.
